1920s Italianate seaside villa on 'Millionaire's Row'

A 1926 Italianate seaside villa (the Leong Yin Kean Mansion) on Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah, run as a restaurant and a long-standing venue for intimate, elegant weddings. It pairs heritage dining rooms and seaside gardens with the Beach Blanket Babylon bar wing — distinct from the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and the Blue Mansion, the two it's most often confused with.

Worth knowing before you enquire

  • The official page details only the private rooms (one for 12 to 14, one for up to 20 in a gazebo) and gives no capacity for a full event, so ask.
  • Relaunched with a Peranakan (Nyonya) menu on 8 December 2025. The restaurant is pork-free and serves wine and beer; it doesn't state halal certification. Private rooms have minimum spends (RM1,200 lunch, RM1,800 dinner).
